Tennis (Match 3) v Halcyon TC

Following our amazing day on a Caribbean cruise, the tennis squad turned up at Halcyon TC with a new found desire to post a win.

Mr. Mallins once again made a wager with the opposition and a win for Shiplake would mean that the Antiguans would have to sing their national anthem.

Balchin teamed up with Sichel and in a tight match, they managed to keep their nerve and win the first doubles match.
Nicheli and Horsfall then followed suit with much more consistency than previously seen.

In a position rarely seen this week, Shiplake were 2 up with 2 singles matches to play. We needed just 1 win to take the tie and Matt Horsfall kindly obliged with a stunning display of match play.

A fantastic win for Shiplake College TC. The guys could not have been happier with the win and with the development they have made over the last few days. Smiles were all around as the beautiful sound of our opposition singing their national anthem rang out across Halcyon TC.

We will need to keep our composure in the final match tomorrow and regardless of the result, our squad will be singing for the opposition after the game!
